E-Commerce Manager

Martine Rose is looking for an exceptional, commercially-minded E-Commerce Manager.  In this newly created role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end e-commerce customer journey – defining our go-to-market proposition, building a world-class e-commerce site and directly influencing trading performance and sales growth. You’ll be excited by the opportunity to build, coach and mentor a high-performing team as we grow, but equally happy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in executing.   By working cross-functionally with our marketing and merchandising teams, you will have a strong foundation to extract, analyse, visualize and make sense of key data. You will work closely with the marketing team, but also in cross-functional settings allowing you to have an impact across the organization. You will report directly into our {job title} and work from our headquarters in Finsbury Park, North London.

What you’ll do:

Site Experience

  • Create a bold vision for martine-rose.com, identifying forward-thinking opportunities.
  • Be responsible for delivering online experiences that drive revenue, conversion, and customer engagement for customer-facing products
  • Lead the optimisation of our online store – managing all partners and ensuring that martine-rose.com is ready for global scale digitally
  • Own the product and feature enhancements roadmaps – working cross functionally, and prioritising based on revenue potential and strategic importance
  • Establish a culture of testing and learning within your team; continuously developing hypotheses and never taking the status quo as the way things need to be done
  • Clearly articulate and communicate the vision, roadmap, key decisions, and relevant insights up and out to all levels and departments of the company, offering company-wide insight into what is being worked on
  • Build and develop an innovative and customer-obsessed digital product team by recruiting top talent and designing the team’s organisational structure to foster a strong digital culture

Trading

  • Define and implement ecommerce trading metrics and reports, and use the insights created to drive trading strategy     
  • Working in close partnership with the marketing team, own all on-site merchandising, along with the product upload and content marketing calendar
  • Define the go-to-market strategy for global e-commerce markets
  • Proactively identify and execute opportunities to drive incremental sales

E-Commerce Operations

  • Lead our growing online customer care team, driving best-in-class customer experience
  • Liaise closely with our warehouse and operations team, ensuring all elements of our e-commerce customer experience are market-leading

Who you are:

  • You have 3 years of e-commerce experience
  • You have the ability to set and articulate the eCommerce vision and lay the foundations for achieving it
  • You’ve proven your track record to identify, communicate and inspire an organization around the next-generation of e-commerce by dramatically growing business, and you’re able to overcome challenges while nurturing excellent working relationships
  • You are strategic, smart and know how to get things done
  • You have demonstrated experience of strategy and planning, budget management, merchandising, marketing, vendor selection and management
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; are at your best when taking the lead and working proactively
  • Highly commercial and analytical: data insight from a variety of sources sits at the heart of all your decision making, and you know how to ask the right questions to inform your work
  • Thorough technical and operational understanding of D2C e-commerce:
    • Experience with various e-commerce platforms - ideally Shopify
    • Google Properties: Analytics, Tag Management, Search Console, Ads
    • Exposure to technology platforms and principles around responsive design, Mobile UX, Analytics, Reporting, SEO

We’ll give you some bonus points for:

  • Experience in a rapidly growing start-up
  • Experience of digital marketing and acquisition channels

About the brand:

Martine Rose is a London based designer whose self-titled label has become a cult favourite in menswear design since 2007. She is known for her unconventional approach to presenting collections, showing outside of the schedule in venues around north London such as rock climbing centres and markets.

Growing up surrounded by a melting pot of subcultures in south London, including the rave and reggae scenes of the 1990s, Rose's interaction with different communities inspires her aesthetic.
